Description
This substantial Natsume Bachi Japanese water basin is hand carved from natural silver grey granite.
It is an attractive cylindrical basin that stands tall and can be combined with a any of the following styles of column lantern; Eto, Kasuga, Oribe, Renje-ji, Rikiu, Yunoki & Zendo-ji to form a pleasing arrangement.
This basin mimics the shape of Japanese Tea caddies; hence the name ‘Natsume’.
Natsume bachi’s are available in 2 diameters. We also have two styles of this Japanese basin. Shape may vary slightly. This style, within the ‘Nara’ range is made from a larger fleck silver-grey granite meaning the final product has a rough, rustic feel. Contrastingly, the ‘kyoto’ range basin has a much finer, smoother finish.
