Design
We designed and built our first Japanese garden in 1993, since then we have built over 250 Japanese gardens across the UK.
Every design we produce is an original design, and bespoke to the clients preferences. Our designs are hand drawn with intricate detailing. To learn more about our design fee please get in touch. Read on to see the process involved in our professional design service.
Site visit
The first step in the design process is to visit you on site. We will be able to gain an understanding of the site, the ideas you have for it and how it will be used.
Survey
Whilst on site we will take detailed measurements, photographs and soil tests. It is important to gather as much information as possible to allow us to accurately design your project to sit comfortably in the space.
Design
We will produce a design concept drawing, with written description. This will detail the main elements, picking out a few feature plants.
Design Meeting
We schedule a meeting for you to visit us at our Japanese Garden Centre. During this meeting we will go through the elements / practicalities of the design. We will be able to show you samples of the materials and plants we have included. It is during this meeting that the design starts to come to life.
Quotation
If you would like us to quote to construct the garden we can provide you with a no obligation quotation. We operate on a fixed price basis, so that there are no hidden charges or additional costs. On acceptance of this, we will give you a start date for your project. If you have an alternative landscaping company to undertake the works we can provide a quote of material supply only.
For a reduced fee we can offer a remote design service. We produce drawings based on information you send to us including dimensions and images, without making a site visit ourselves. Prior to undertaking any design work we may request a deposit payment. To learn more about our design process and fees please enquire below.
All our designs are unique, creative and personal to the clients needs and preferences. Below are some examples of hand drawn, scaled drawings we have produced. Click on the image to see the completed garden.
