Description
Acer palmatum Atropurpureum has purple leaves throughout spring and summer. In Autumn the leaves turn deep crimson. Japanese maples are deciduous.
Acer palmatum Shaina grows well in partial shade or full sun. When positioned in full sun the autumn leaf colour will be more dramatic. Japanese maples do not like to be dry or waterlogged, they thrive best when the soil around is kept moist.
